It’s my first visit! What do I need to know?

Welcome! We can’t wait to meet you! Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first class so we can answer any questions you may have and make sure you’re all set to get your sweat/zen on!

Our studio is designed to make sure that from the moment you step through the front door, you can leave the day behind. All you need is a yoga mat and water (optional), and we’ll take care of the rest! All of the props and equipment you need for your class will be set out for you already.

What type of footwear is permitted?

You can go barefoot or wear grip socks in the studio room, but we do not allow sneakers or any type of shoe to maintain cleanliness and for the safety of our guests. Grip socks can even enhance performance by providing better traction and stability. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

What if I’m late?

Out of respect and safety for your fellow guests and instructors, classes start on time. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to your class start time. If you arrive more than 8 minutes late you will not be permitted into class. Classes begin with an introduction, including the proper form and technique that is required to be successful in the class and avoid injuries.

If you arrive late for your class, we would be happy to find a spot for you in the next class, if there are available spots. Your studio time is a gift to yourself – make time for you! Thank you for your understanding & cooperation.

What is The Blend?

The Blend is a seamless flow of the best of a vinyasa flow, a strengthening Pilates workout, and cardio to make you sweat – all wrapped up into a 60-minute class. Sliders, resistance bands, and small weights are added to ramp up the intensity, but they’re only there if you want them; otherwise, your body weight is enough to accomplish that post-workout glow!

What are the Benefits of The Blend?

This class is designed to warm the body up, lengthen and strengthen imbalances within the body to lead to a stronger, leaner, happier, and healthier you!

What is HIIT?

High-Intensity Interval Training. This is not a separate class but rather a component of The Blend. HIIT is a form of exercise in which short periods of demanding physical activity are alternated with less intense recovery periods. In short, it is cardio. It will get your heart pumping, burn calories, and make you sweat.

Do I need to be super fit?

No! We have the best instructors around, and they are very experienced in listening to what each group needs. They will provide the appropriate modifications to help you have the best experience in class.

What if I am not ready for the blend?

We offer many other stand-alone classes like Vinyasa Flow, Slow Flow Vinyasa, Mat Pilates, and Yin Yoga.

Do I need to be flexible to participate in the classes?

Absolutely not. In fact, inflexibility is the very reason why you should take our classes!

I’m a beginner - which style should I start with? OR is there a beginner class?

We all have to start somewhere, and we love beginners. Our recommendation is to start with Slow Flow Vinyasa. In this class, we take our time focusing on proper alignment and breathwork with fewer poses. Many former beginners come back to this class time and time again to slow the pace down and focus more on the mind-body connection.

What if I have injuries?

It is always recommended that you consult with your physician before beginning any type of physical expertise, especially if you are working with injuries. While we do provide modifications, our instructors’ advice cannot be compared to that of a medical doctor.

How often should I go?

We suggest 2-5 times per week with a rest day or two in between. Our limited monthly package is designed in such a way that is not limited to only being able to attend classes a set number of times per week.

What if I’m pregnant?

It is never advised to begin a new type of workout while pregnant. That being said, if you are currently physically active and practice yoga and Pilates, you are more than welcome to take a class. The key here is to listen to your body now more than ever. Mat Pilates involves a lot of exercises laying on your back, so we recommend as you move into later trimesters that you move away from Mat Pilates and The Blend. Our Yin & Chill and Slow Flow classes may be just what you need as you enter your second or third trimester. Don’t forget, the other classes will be there for you post baby!

What do I do with my husband?

Bring him! This is not your average yoga studio. It will change his life as it has changed ours.

Can I bring my kids or pets to class?

While we want to accommodate you to the best of our ability, we ask that you please find care for your children and pets before coming to class. Often times when a class is in session, the front lobby is left unattended. Our staff members take breaks and we are also not licensed to care for children or pets at the studio. Thank you for understanding.

What is your class etiquette?

At The Blend, we aim to create a welcoming and respectful environment for all of our guests. To ensure everyone has a positive experience, please follow our class etiquette guidelines:

  1. Capturing the Moment: Feel free to take selfies before and after class to capture the moment. We’d love for you to share them with us! However, please refrain from taking photos or videos during class, especially if other guests are in the background.
  2. Barefoot or Socks Only: Please leave your outside shoes in the cubbies at the door and enjoy your class barefoot or with socks.
  3. Phone Etiquette: If you need to keep your phone nearby, please place it beside your mat. We understand that you may need to stay connected, but kindly avoid using your phone during class. If you need to take a call, please step into the lobby or outside.
  4. Quiet, Please & Socialize After:
To help everyone stay focused, please keep conversations with others to a minimum during class. If you have any questions about movements or form, feel free to ask the instructor at any time. For more in-depth discussions and socializing, we encourage you to connect before or after class to build community and enhance your experience.

Thank you for helping us maintain a respectful and enjoyable environment at The Blend!
